25-year, Adam Schwartz (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) lives in a comfortable and simple life. It has a beautiful girlfriend named Rachel (Bryce Dallas Howard) and serves as a museum, where his best friend Kyle (Seth Rogen), which makes it difficult because of his life, annoying, but fun.
He was soon diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Given his age and lifestyle, Adam could not believe what is happening. With no choice, he decided to start chemotherapy and fighting for his life. He breaks the news to his parents, friends and Rachel, who all support him.
To get your mind off of things, Adam begins to see Katie (Anna Kendrick), a beautiful student of 26 years of age in medicine is to help cope with psychological side effects of chemotherapy. As time passes and the vitality and health gradually vanish, Adam comes to terms with his life and his illness. While the fight against cancer, he began to appreciate what we have in life, especially the things we took for granted before his fight.
