Apollo 18 is an upcoming 2011 science fiction film directed by horror writer Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego, and produced by Timur Bekmambetov. Premise of the movie is officially canceled the Apollo 18 mission was actually launched in December 1974, but never returned, and consequently, the U.S. has never launched a second expedition to the Moon.
The film is described in the mockumentary style of found footage, supposedly lost footage from Apollo 18, which was discovered only recently. Lopez-Gallego films, the first English language film. When it becomes a different date, the film is currently scheduled for publication September 2, 2011.
